In the class 6 division, New Holland entered the CR 6.80 harvester, aiming to secure both the class 6 speed division and the overall victory, which eluded them in the past. Meanwhile, the CR 7.90, actually a class 7 harvester, represented New Holland in the class 8 section, showcasing the brand’s commitment to excellence.

One of the key features that set New Holland harvesters apart is the Twin Rotor technology, with both the CR 6.80 and CR 7.90 equipped with 43 cm (17 inches) Twin Rotors. This technology is renowned for its gentle grain handling, ensuring minimal loss and maximum efficiency.

New Holland takes pride in the longevity of their Twin Rotor concept, which has been a stalwart in the industry for 48 years. In recent years, they have further enhanced it with the Twin Pitch technology, allowing farmers to harvest moist material earlier or later in the day, extending the harvesting window.

The CR 7.90 combine boasts a powerful FPT Industrial Cursor 9 engine, delivering 300 kW. What truly sets it apart is the incorporation of intelligent features, such as the IntelliSense control system. This system continuously optimizes the harvester’s operation throughout the harvesting process, ensuring the best possible grain quality.

Furthermore, it almost completely automates the combine, offering four selectable options for ground speed, grain quality, and machine speed. The combine then takes over, seamlessly adjusting the settings to achieve optimal results continuously, reducing the operator’s burden.

In the harvester race, New Holland’s CR 6.80 emerged as the overall winner of the class 6 harvesters. Its impressive results and ability to produce a clean grain sample were evident, solidifying New Holland’s position as a technology leader in the agricultural industry.
