Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas has expanded its renowned Dash 7 lineup with the introduction of two impressive wheel loaders – the ZW180-7 and ZW180PL-7. Boasting a 3.5 cubic yard capacity and an operating weight of 14,905 kg, these loaders are equipped to handle a diverse range of applications with ease and efficiency.
The ZW180-7 offers operators the choice between a standard front arm and a raised arm configuration, perfectly suited for various bucket applications. This versatility ensures that the loader excels in handling different materials, making it an ideal choice for stockpile management, material loading into trucks, or moving pallets around the yard.
On the other hand, the ZW180PL-7 boasts a parallel link arm configuration, specifically designed for fork and tool carrier applications.
This feature allows attachments to remain parallel to the ground as the loader arms move up or down, resulting in increased control and precision during loading and unloading operations. Additionally, the parallel link arm enhances operator visibility when using forks and other attachments.
To enhance productivity and operator convenience, Hitachi has equipped the ZW180-7 and ZW180PL-7 with innovative features. The loaders come with Approach Speed Control, allowing operators to adjust travel speed with fewer pedal operations during loading, reducing operator fatigue and improving fuel efficiency.
Limited-slip differentials ensure exceptional traction, ensuring smooth operation even in demanding applications.
Furthermore, the Auto Power Up function enhances hill climbing performance by identifying slopes and increasing power to prevent the engine speed from dropping, maintaining consistent power delivery.
Hitachi has placed great emphasis on operator comfort and safety in the ZW180-7 and ZW180PL-7 wheel loaders. The cabs are designed to provide a safe and comfortable working environment, with larger and quieter cabs equipped with ergonomic electric hydraulic controls and an adjustable seat with mirrors.
The cab’s panoramic visibility design ensures operators have an unobstructed view of the surrounding environment, enhancing safety and reducing potential blind spots.
A 20.3 cm anti-glare LCD monitor with Bluetooth radio allows hands-free phone capability, promoting seamless communication on the job site. Additionally, Hitachi’s Aerial Angle Peripheral Vision camera system provides a wide 270-degree bird’s-eye view of the immediate surroundings, enhancing operator awareness and safety.
