British media reported that the Etihad Stadium organizers confiscated 60 bottles of champagne after Man City’s 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on May 18.

Daily Mail reported that coach Pep Guardiola banned celebrations until the team won the first championship of this season.

Therefore, the Etihad stadium organizers followed the advice of the Spanish coach and confiscated 60 bottles of champagne that were brought to the home team’s dressing room after the victory over Real.

Man City officials said the bottles of champagne “were delivered at the wrong time”. The Etihad Stadium team plans to bring this champagne to May 21, the time when “The Cityzens” can win the Premier League after the match against Chelsea.

After learning that he had become the Premier League champion when Arsenal lost 0-1 to Nottingham Forest on May 20, the coaching staff and Man City players wore shirts with the words “3 times in a row” to take pictures to celebrate the title.

Striker Erling Haaland and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne are not in the photo. On his personal page, Haaland wrote: “Always try, always believe. You will be rewarded. Go ahead, Man City”.

This is Man City’s fifth domestic title in the last six years, and Pep’s third consecutive Premier League title.

Speaking before the match against Chelsea, Pep said: “We are performing well but I agree with the media that when we have won all the titles, Man City will be among the greatest.”

On May 20, Chelsea coach Frank Lampard confirmed that the team would split into two rows at the Etihad Stadium and give a round of applause to welcome Man City if they were crowned in the Premier League 2022/23.
