Expanding Product Line and Market Reach: Mathieu Vallières, Lemken’s CEO in Canada, envisions a range of advanced seeding equipment becoming available for Canadian farmers by spring 2024.

Equalizer’s inventory includes planters with up to 36 rows and drills spanning up to 79 feet. This expanded product line will provide farmers with increased flexibility and efficiency in their seeding operations.

Synergy of Technologies: Lemken’s Delta-Row technology, which minimizes overlap and optimizes seed placement, complements Equalizer’s single-row technology. The two companies’ portfolios have minimal overlap, allowing Lemken to cater to new markets and customer segments.

Innovative Features and Functionality: The advanced seeding systems offered by Lemken and Equalizer feature unique semi-independent shanks or tines. These hydraulically controlled components allow for clearing of smaller obstacles without disrupting seed placement.

In the event of encountering larger obstacles, the entire unit trips and clears the obstruction to prevent damage. Built-in dampeners ensure controlled return of the shanks or tines after tripping, enhancing durability and longevity.

Hydraulic Efficiency and Precision: The seeding systems utilize a 110 cc hydraulic motor to drive the metering unit, with speed control managed by a pulse width modulation valve.

This setup ensures the required product speed while offering the advantage of not requiring oil flow from the tractor when closed. The closed central hydraulic system on the tractor enhances lift speeds during turns, optimizing operational efficiency.
