2-year-old girl adopts sick, shy pit bull from shelter

A 2-year-old Girl Goes to Shelter and Picks Sick, Shy Pit Bull Who Just Needs Love

There are so many dogs in shelters that are looking for a permanent home.

Unfortunately, some of these dogs get passed over by adopters in favor of younger, more traditionally appealing puppies because of their breed, age, looks, or health issues.

However, every once in a while, a kind-hearted individual steps forward and shows compassion for these animals.

One such individual is a 2-year-old girl named Gigi, who adopted a sick and shy pit bull from a shelter.

When Gigi’s mother, Audra Spurio, brought her to the shelter to adopt a dog, she never expected her daughter to choose the pit bull who needed attention the most.

Despite seeing that the dog needed some care and attention, Gigi insisted that she wanted to adopt him.

In an interview with The Dodo, Audra said, “my kid wanted to meet her more than any other dog at the shelter that day.”

Even though the dog “stunk like mange,” the young child insisted that it should be retained, stating, “Mommy, that one.”

The pit bull was timid and fearful, but Gigi didn’t see a dog in need of help. Instead, she saw a companion who needed love and care.

The youngster was usually gentle and understanding, and the dog responded positively to her affection.

Many children might have been “grossed out” by the dog’s conditions, but Gigi saw a potential friend in the pit bull.

She recognized that the dog needed someone to love and care for him.

Her kind heart and gentle spirit allowed her to connect with the dog on a level that many adults would struggle with.

Gigi’s decision to adopt a sick and shy pit bull is a testament to the fact that love knows no bounds.

It doesn’t matter if a dog is sick, shy, or in poor health, what matters is that they deserve love and compassion like any other animal.

In conclusion, Gigi’s decision to adopt a sick and shy pit bull is a heartwarming story that serves as a reminder that we can all make a difference in the lives of animals in need.

By adopting and caring for an animal in need, we can give them a second chance at life and show them the love and compassion that they deserve.

We can all learn from Gigi’s example and strive to be more compassionate and caring towards all animals, no matter their condition or circumstances.
