Introducing Banner, the service dog with an incredible heart.
Not only does she tirelessly assist her owner, Whitney Bradley, with her disability, but she also possesses a remarkable ability to rescue and care for other animals in need.
Whitney has been with Banner, a 3-year-old Husky, since she was a puppy.
During this time, Whitney has trained Banner to perform various tasks such as alerting to PTSD episodes, anxiety attacks, headaches, guiding, retrieving medicine, and interrupting self-harm, among others.
But what truly sets Banner apart is her exceptional bond with kittens. According to Whitney, “She is always connected to kittens, and we do a lot of rescuing.”
After raising her first bottle-fed kitten, which had been abandoned in a ditch, Banner has gone on to nurture many litters of kittens.
However, one day, Banner made a devastating discovery. In the woods, she led Whitney to a sealed cardboard box containing seven newborn kittens, barely a day old and on the verge of freezing to death.
Someone cruelly abandoned them there, thinking they could get away with it.
Whitney expressed her disgust, saying, “It’s appalling that someone could be so heartless towards these vulnerable animals. It’s just awful.”
Ever since that fateful discovery, Banner has not left the side of the little kittens. She immediately adopted them as her own, displaying her incredible maternal instincts.
Whitney was overwhelmed by Banner’s dedication and expressed her determination to find suitable, loving homes for the kittens to ensure their well-being.
“I will make sure these kittens find the love and care they deserve,” Whitney stated. She recognized the profound impact Banner’s compassion has had on the lives of these helpless kittens and wanted to share their heartwarming story.
Banner’s unique ability to serve and protect both her owner and other animals showcases the extraordinary bond that can exist between humans and their service animals.
It also highlights the immense capacity for love and empathy that dogs like Banner possess.
The story of Banner and the rescued kittens is a testament to the power of compassion and the unwavering loyalty of service dogs.
Their story serves as an inspiration for others to recognize the incredible impact animals can have in our lives and the importance of treating all living beings with kindness and respect.
In conclusion, Banner’s story demonstrates the remarkable qualities that service dogs possess, going above and beyond to care for their owners and extend their compassion to other animals in need.
Through their unwavering dedication and selflessness, dogs like Banner truly make the world a better place.
